Every code, duty rate, VAT/sales tax figure, preferential rate and calculator result on this site is an estimate based on published government data. It is not customs advice, tax advice or legal advice, and it is not a substitute for classification or a duty assessment made by HMRC, CBP, or another competent customs authority.

You're responsible for verifying any figure against the official source — linked on the relevant page — before relying on it for an actual shipment, import declaration, or business decision. See Methodology for how figures are derived.

This site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. Data is pulled from official UK and US government sources on a best-effort schedule (see Data sources), but tariff and tax policy changes frequently, source systems can lag or be temporarily unavailable, and pages can carry a stale rate before a rebuild catches up.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HS Code Desk is not liable for any loss or damage arising from reliance on any figure, classification, or result shown on this site, including duties, taxes, penalties, or delays incurred by using an incorrect or outdated code or rate. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under UK or US law.

• Scrape, bulk-download, or systematically reproduce the site's pages or data outside of normal browsing, other than through a published API or feed we offer for that purpose.
