Data sources
Government sources only — nothing here is scraped from another comparison site. Every figure traces back to one of the two APIs below.
UK — GOV.UK Trade Tariff
Commodity codes, descriptions, hierarchy, MFN duty, VAT, preferential/FTA rates and import controls come from the GOV.UK Trade Tariff service's public API (v2). Currently 25,800 UK rows, 16,716 of them declarable 10-digit commodity codes.

US — USITC Harmonized Tariff Schedule
HTS codes, descriptions, hierarchy, general (column 1) and column 2 duty rates and special/preferential program rates come from the U.S. International Trade Commission's Harmonized Tariff Schedule export. Currently 29,852 US rows, 19,949 of them declarable 10-digit HTS lines.
The HTS is a work of the U.S. government and is in the public domain in the United States. Section 232/301 and other CBP overlay duties beyond what's in the HTS export itself are not yet fully built into this site — see Methodology.
Current snapshot
This data was last pulled on 29 August 2026. Every code page carries its own “Rates updated” stamp with the exact date — that's the one to trust for any individual code, since a rebuild in progress can mean different pages were pulled at slightly different times.
